ABOUT THE BAND-- t was Ting Albaciete's past-time to weave melodies with an old nylon guitar. And it was his dream to have these songs played with a band. Come 2009, that dream came true. Long-time buddies Norman Apog, Mike Pamat and Tapan Duterte saw what mayhem the 18-year-old's songs could become if they were to lend their hand on additional guitars, bass, and drums. Hence the first live demo. They were unnamed by then. Meanwhile, a bit disappointed at how his band Threadheld still had to go on in hiatus because of certain family matters, Jaydee thought he needed another outlet where he could channel his love for music while waiting for things to settle down. Little did he know, it was Ting and company he was looking for all along. As if by serendipity, the impassioned DIY'er heard the foursome's demo and saw it was "a diamond in the rough". He invited them to rerecord it back home...and there was chemistry...there was meaning. They felt a purpose even greater than just making music. Passion in heart, purpose in mind, they completed the sound full circle with some synthwork and more wordcraft. It was then that the mayhem ensued—"To the Tune of Lilies" was born |
